This tanker went together very slowly. It took an incredible amount of work
to change this from a static pose to this slightly dynamic on... Every single
joint needed major modifications including cutting and pinning... But the painting
was so quick thanks to my new found ability to go back to dry brushing. Anyway,
after it was converted properly, I simply like it incredibly!

I love these SST figures! Well, the arachnids anyway... My Light MI
have yet to be painted... Still, the arachnids look great! Note that the
IG figs about to be eaten are a bit smaller than the 30mm MI figs.

This one was painstakingly highlighted to my usual degree of quality...
I don't like it at all... There is too much texture on the fig. So much
that I would almost assume that the sculpter decided to go with sloppy
texture because it was easier than smoothing out the surfaces >:) Still,
I am pretty happy with it, and the sculpt is otherwise wonderful!

GAH! Drybrushing! Can you tell? This is the second warrior bug I have finished.
I don't like the dry brushing, but I have 20 of these
to paint and they are huge! So yeah, the black is all drybrush and the
yellow only has a single highlight. Only the red is done to any degree
of quality!

So these things are bloody huge! I mean seriously so!
Considering their size they are very cheap! I love them!
Of course, they take a lot of cutting and pinning to look
half good, which is crazy considering that they come in so
many parts!

It's not obvious, but there were hours of conversion time in these figs.
Making them look like their movie counterparts (as opposed to the CG cartoon
version that they were based on) was not trivial! A lot of thick plastic to cut.
