The host of Lord Guinness is for a game
based around a pseudo history where beers decided the heraldry of
European lords during the Medieval period. In this version Guinness
turned up 300 years early and was founded by Sir Guinness the Stout
Hearted. Here is his mighty host ready for battle... Of course, there
are only ten, and they are even expected to defend a castle!

Here we see why the Saracens don't work perfectly with the Russians... SCALE CREEP!
Or is it? Maybe the medieval Russian horses were small like the norse horses. The Arabians
would have been much bigger... Still, there is a serious scale issue!

Two mounted nobles for Lord Guinness. These are 1/72 Italeri Saracens, and they
seem to work pretty well with the Russians!

Lord Guinness himself! I rushed through this one in order to get these
figs done in time for gaming... I am not entirely happy, but at least it
is gameable :)

Three more men for the defense of the lands of Sir Guinness!

I felt I was getting a bit sloppy with the shield designs, so I put some extra
effort in on this one... But still, it doesn't look quite right... Note that
this one lost the spear tip just before the photo was taken...

Lord Guinness' banner bearer standing tall and proud to bear the
devices of Lord Guinness himself.

Lord Guinness the Stout Hearted's first knight comes forth ready for
battle. I decided to paint the scale male as though it was scaled
leather because I liked the look better!

What to say about this fig... Well, I got sucked into another game
based around a pseudo history where beers decided the heraldry of
European lord during the Medieval period. In this version Guinness
turned up 300 years early and was founded by Sir Guinness the Stout
Hearted. Anyway, this archer is the colour scheme test fig. I like
it so I think it will define the remainder of my force!
