This is one of two limited-edition Anarchists from the Spanish Civil War. Excellent figure with lots
of character. The CNT sombrero is fantastic! I'm pretty hapy with the way this guy turned out as well. I could
have put a black line between the eyelids so that he looked like he was squinting instead of simply standing there
with his eyes closed I guess...

The second of two Anarchists from the Spanish Civil War. Not quite as much character as the sombrero figure, but
definitely cool. Pretty happy with this figure, and it makes me want to get back into the SCW action! Here I could have put a black
line between his eye lids to get the squinting looks as well...

The two limited-edition figures together. Did anyone else get these figures?

First of the first five anarchists that I've ever painted! These are Spanish militia
anarchists specifically. I realize that they look pretty snazzy with those bright white
amunition pouches, but that's what the photo records show! I'm pretty happy with the paint job
on these... but the figures leave a little to be desired. They are from the old school when
quality wasn't all that important, and content was really all that mattered... Indeed, you
would be hard pressed to find a picture of these guys online!

I realize that the anarchists are shown all in blue most of the time, but hey, they're anarchists!
They didn't all wear that snazzy jumpsuit. Here I show an olive shirt, but still with the white pouches!

Khaki pants! Same hat, which incidentally, I hadn't even seen before I saw these figures.
Once I did, I looked a little more closely at the anarchists and noted that even Durruti himself
sported one of these caps. Finding the colour scheme on the hat was tough, but there was one
colourized painting of Durruti that showed the hat as a red hat with olive on the inside and a black
rim... I wonder how accurate that image was... Still, it looks good on ths figs!

Khaki again! Notice the bayonettes on these figures as well. I might cut some of them
off of the next batch that I do (I have five more of these guys).

Last but not least, the sub-machine gunner here. Notice that on this fig
I took to time to paint the Durruti column patch at the front of the hat, which
is a triangle with one side red and the other black. It's so small, I didn't think
it was worth it on the other figs.
