My first building for the medieval town, complete with a figure for scale.
There's a carved gourd out front to help give it that haunted Halloween spirit..

Rear view of the haunted halloween house. I put shutters on the windows back here, but after they
were on I decided not to put them on the front of the house because they covered up too much of
the wood framing and paint.

A good view of the front door of the house with a figure for scale. I purposely made the door
big enough for a 28mm person to get through, but NOT big enough for a 28mm figure on a 5mm base
to get through.

I had intended to use this building along with the Prancing Pony and the
thatch houses that I
have. Although the painting scheme and mood between these two are slightly
different, I think they'll work well together.

You can see some of the wattle (sticks used to make the walls) where the plaster has cracked away beside
the windows. That details is simply carved into the foam underneath the thin card of the foam core that
has been peeled away.

This is a little stone temple building that I scratch build out of pink foam for Dungeons and Dragons.
It has a 2x2' undetailed interior with a removable roof. The shield above the door is a
generic 'evil' design, but it's from the old Warhammer undead skeletons... Like the late 80s
skeletons. The door is from Hirst I do believe, which I got for free from a friend... I don't
mind the door, it looks pretty good, but it's sorta cheating I think :) This structure
will likely be used all over the place, from HotT to skirmish to D&D to part of a fantasy town, so it's a nice little one.

This is another little generic building, made from foam core. Again the Hirst arts door; I have
more than a few, so I will likely use them up over the next little while! This one is a plaster over
sand stone look. It also has a removable roof. Although it is on the same size base as the previous
stone building, thanks to the thin foam core walls it has a 3x3' square interior, with tiles on the
floor for D&D skirmish! These are a snap to make; most of the time in construction is taken up by
glue and paint drying :)

An interior view of the plaster over sandstone building. No details, but a 1' square tiled
floor to facilitate the D&D movement paradigm. Also note the little card bits on the walls that
are used to hold the rood up. This building is another excellent generic building that can be used
for a number of purposes!
